26 WINNETKA TALK May 12, 1928 Christian Science Church "Adam and Fallen Man" was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, Sunday, May 6. The Golden Text was from I Cor- inthians 15:22, "As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." Among the citations which com- prised the Lesson-Sermon was the following from the Bible: "This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind. . That ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness" (Eph. 4:17.24). The included Lesson-Sermon also the following passages from the Chris- tian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy: "Let us accept Science, relinquish all theories based on sense-testimony, give up imperfect models and illusive ideals; and so let us have one God, one Mind, and that one perfect, producing His own models of excellence" (p. 249). Plan Benefit for Sorority Summer Camp for Children The Alumnae association of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority and the Mothers' association, together, are sponsoring a bridge party on the after- noon and evening of Saturday, May 12, which will be given as a benefit for the Gamma Phi Beta camp for underpriv- ileged children at Denver, Col. "Companionate Marriage" to Hit Chicago Sunday Jean Archibald's play, "A Compan- ionate Marriage," is opening at the Cort Sunday under the auspices of Clyde Elliott, local theater man, who tried out the show at the Evanston theater some weeks ago. Three well- known members of the Evanston Play- ers Ann Dere, Joan Peers and Robert Lowes, are to have important parts in the play, the leads of which are to be played by Betty Linley and William Holden.
