The new Movietone will be inaugurated this Saturday, May 12. "Bubbles of Joy" is the title of Benny Meroff's stage presentation for the coming week at the Granada, It is said to be aptly named and to be alive with music and laughter and couched in a setting of color. Certain it is that there will be new dances and new steps and Benny and the Granada stage band. "The Escape," a Fox film, is the screen fare. Based on Paul Arm- strong's stage production of the same name, the plot concerns two sisters who, fighting alone, climb from the depths to respectability and wholesome love. Virginia Valli and William Rus- sell are the featured players. It also shows off Nancy Drexel to advantage and Charlie Meeker again proves that a blonde leading man does have ap- peal.
