TALK 67 "Gardening"--a Feature of Unique Program ~ Lehle photo HIS interesting picture was taken when an extensive pro- gram was given recently at the Webb School of Dancing in Win- netka. The Misses Peggy Hutsch, Betty Barroll, Adelia Barroll and Sara Jane Locke are offering a gardening scene. The lower pic- ture shows Mrs. Florence Webb in a characteristic Spanish dance. The program included fourteen numbers, many unique features be- ing presented. One of these was "We will try to entertain you," in which the babies were Betty Car- roll, Betty Cleveland, Sandy and Patsy Matz, Patricia McNally and Barbara and Silas Warner. The musical program also fur- nished many features. Glass Admitting Violet Rays Now Popular in Home Real sunlight and at the same time the vital violet rays which ordinary window glass does not admit are now the popular thing. Indoor health rooms are now pos- sible when glazed with this new glass, recently discovered, a glass which lets through these vitalizing violet rays which have been called the germicidal part of the sunlight. This part of the sunlight makes the blood richer in iron and red blood cells, builds a greater resistance to disease, improves the complexion, and stimulates the body to make better use of food by increasing the absorp- tion of lime and phosphorus necessary to strong bodies and sound teeth. Sun baths are given the world over, but sun baths can now be had in one's own home. Baths which perform such a big service in overcoming the break- downs of winter and the lassitude of summer. School tests conducted in England recently showed that children attend- ing school where this type of glass was used gained in nine months more in weight and in height than those children, from similar homes, receiv- ing their lessons in rooms glazed with ordinary glass. And quite as impor- tant was the gain in red blood cells of the children in the first class. Mr. and Mrs. Marcus D. Richards, 1240 Tower road, are planning to spend the summer at that exclusive "Dude ranch" called the H F Bar at Buffalo, Wyo. Mr. and Mrs. Richards plan to leave on June 15.
