NORTHMOOR OPENS SEASON The opening social event at North- moor Country club, Ravinia, was a dinner dance, held last Tuesday eve- ning. This was the formal opening of the club, and all summer rules and regulations are now in effect. Sunday evening the club will show the motion picture of "West Point," featuring William Haines. Hinman, 576 Oak street, are expecting several guests within the next few days and weeks. Miss Catherine Seymour Hin- man's wedding to Perry B. Buchanan is. approaching and her brothers and sisters are coming on from both the east and the west coast for the event. Mrs. George Wheeler Hinman, Jr., and her small daughter, Catherine Joan, will arrive from New York today and Mr. Hinman will join them here on June 10. Miss Hinman's sister, Mrs. William H. Coburn, and her small son, William H. Jr, are due from their home in Berkeley, Cal, tomorrow and Mr. Coburn will also come on a little later. SENIOR CLASS PRESIDENT Miss Harriet Leonard, daughter of John R. Leonard of Winnetka, is graduating from Radcliffe college June 20. She is president of the senior class and has played on the varsity hockey and basketball teams. Miss Leonard is to make her bow to society next winter at Mr. Leonard's annual New Year's tea at "Wildacre," their home in Winnetka. Missionaries to Reply to Queries at Vespers At the Vesper service in the Win- netka Congregational church tomor- row at five o'clock the Rev. and Mrs. Paul A. Reynolds, missionaries of the church, will be present to answer ques- tions from the audience. It is request- ed that as far as possible these ques- tions be submitted in writing in ad- vance, but questions from the floor will also be welcomed, it is explained. Any query relative either to the par- ticular field and task of the Reynolds' or to the motives, aims and justifica- tion of the missionary enterprise is pertinent. The purpose of this informal hour ot questions and answers is to give op- portunity not only for Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds to satisfy curiosity of the members of the parish, but also to answer any who misunderstand or oppose missionary work.
