Walling, 1094 Private road, Winnetka, was serious- ly injured yesterday afternoon about 4 o'clock at the corner of Center and Diller streets, when the bicycle on which he was riding collided with a car driven by Virginia Sandberg, 375 Palos road, Glencoe, a student at New Trier high school. Miss Sandberg was driving south on Center street and the Walling boy was turning north on Center from Diller street when the crash occurred. The boy was taken to the Evanston hospital by Dr. Frederick Christopher. It was found that one of his legs, a shoulder blade, and two ribs were broken. He also suffered severe body wounds. Legionnaires Purchase Grave Plots for Vets Winnetka Post No. 10, American Legion, will accept the contract for sixteen graves at Memorial Park cemetery to be used for the burial of ex-service men without funds. This was decided at the regular meeting of the Post Monday night. A suitable monument will be erected on the site also. Other business transacted at the Monday meeting included the election of delegates and alternates to the state convention of the Legion to be held at Waukegan in August. Commander Edwin G. Howell and Thomas J. Lynch were chosen as delegates. Frederick O. Mason and Harold W. Snell were named alternates. Mrs. S. W. Andersen, 558 Arbor Vitae road, and her family, will leave on June 15, to spend the summer at Lauderdale Lakes, Wis. Greeley School Enjoys Annual Spring Festival The annual festival at the Greeley school was held Thursday afternoon on the school grounds. The program, which consisted of songs, rhythms, and dances, was under the supervision of Mrs. Jean Hislop Rumry, musical di- rector in the intermediate grades, as- sisted by Mrs. Paul Starr and Mrs. Carol Wooddy at the piano. English, of Winnetka, a graduate of New Trier High school, was elected Freshman athletic manager of Princeton university, Princeton, N. J., for next year at a recent meeting of the athletic association board of con- trol of the university. Miss Annette Thompson, 1067 Oak street, will motor to Wisconsin this week-end to attend the graduation exercises at the Lake Mills High school. Her cousin, Miss Joan Joeckel is a member of the graduating class and Miss Thompson will also attend a houseparty at her cousin's summer home, the "Hedges," on Rock Lake, given by ten members of the senior class. A. for Next Season A meeting of the executive board of the Winnetka Parent-Teacher as- sociation was held at the residence of the new president, Mrs. Robert Bowen Brown, 806 Locust street, Mon- day, June 4. A luncheon was served at 12 o'clock after which discussions were held on the subjects of next year's memberships, programs, social affairs, and housing for the teachers. The following members constitute the new board: Mrs. Robert Bowen Brown, president; Mrs. George Lee, first vice-president and program chair- man; Mrs. William Jones Smith, sec- ond vice-president and membership chairman; Mrs. Maynard Riley, treas- urer; Mrs. A.
