Esmond of 1120 Lake Shore drive, vice president of E. H. Rollins & Sons, investment bonds. This is one of the most beautiful es- tates in the Barrington district. It is situated directly across from the Bat- rington Hills Country club and con- sists of thirty-seven and one-half acres. The property is very hilly, with many wooded ravines still in their natural state, and a private lake of about ten acres in area. The house itself is a very comfortable fourteen room house situated on the crest of one of the hills overlooking the country club grounds. Mr. Cushman during the last ten years has done some beautiful land- scaping and his Japanese sunken gar- den is one of the show gardens of the Chicago district. The entrance to the grounds is a very novel one consisting of two garages, one on each side of the drive- way, with a five room caretaker's lodge built over and connecting the same. McGuire & Orr, for thirty-five years operators on the north shore, have re- cently added a new district to their north shore activities in the opening of an office at Barrington, Ill, and the Cushman estate was their inaugural sale. The new office is managed by Clive J. Taylor, surviving partner of Cowles & Taylor, who has been operating in the Barrington field for the past four years, and has been associated with many of the largest transactions in that district, and Clyde E. Terns, formerly with Baird & Warner. They have as- sociated with them Mrs. Kate Miller, formerly connected with Miss Kather- ine E.Otisin the real estate field at Bar- rington, and Leon B. Allen, formerly with Cowles & Taylor. Mrs. Spencer Beman, 147 Birch street, left last week with her children to spend the summer in Estes Park. Mr. Beman will join his family about the middle of August and they will return early in September. | EE a IE AR Ah Sh ae a a tdi etlbeeteata at A etabeticetucatiniadizoihimali SHE LOVES FLOWERS Next time you pass our flower shop with her, suggest a bouquet of our choice blossoms, and see how quickly she accepts, and how much she appreciates your thoughtfulness.
