It is planned to improve this site with a three-story brick store and apartment building of Colonial archi- tecture. A three-story brick stucco and half timber business and apartment build- ing adjacent to this property on the west is just being completed; so that the vacant just sold was the last vacant business frontage on the north side of Park avenue east of Vernon. The Tudor court frontage faces the long park stretch of property belonging to the Glencoe Women's Library club, whose members are soon going to erect an attractive club building. Business frontage in Glencoe is re- stricted to one very small area, and the market for it has been very active re- cently. Courses in football, basketball, track and athletic administration are to be given. Dick Hanley, head football coach at Northwestern, will have charge of the football course. Supplementary lec- tures will be given by such well known grid experts as Jess Hawley of Dart- mouth; Arnold Horween of Harvard; Judge Walter Steffen of Carnegie Tech and Duke Dunne, line coach at Harvard. Cnach Hanley's series of lectures plus his field demonstrations provide a complete study of the sport from the viewpoint of a Warner exponent. The course covers the technique of indi- vidual play and team play plus the principles of coaching, training, condi- tioning and the care of injuries. Arthur Lonborg, who made his entry into the Big Ten this year as head basketball coach at Northwestern, will conduct the basketball course. Coach Lonborg had an unusually successful season winning twelve games out of seventeen. He is a product of Kansas university where he studied under Dr. Forrest Allen. During his entry into the coaching profession he has won 84 games and lost fourteen. Coach Frank Hill, track cearh at Northwestern, will handle the track program in the summer school. Coach Hill will attend the Olympic games and will bring back fresh impressions of the great performances which are certain to be seen at the games. Kenneth I. "Tug" Wilson, director of athletics at Northwestern and a leading figure in middle western ath- letics, will give his popular course in Organization and Theory of Athletic Departments. His course proved high- ly popular last year and many of his students have already signified their intention of continuing it during the coming summer. Students attending the summer school will live in the fraternity houses on the lake front. Golf tournaments among the members of the school will be staged frequently during the two week period. A number of courses along the north shore will be avail- able for play. Y. W. C. A. Plans Drive For Members Next Fall Mrs. Wheaton Augur, chairman of the central branch of the Y. W. C. A. in Chicago, called a two day conference for Wednesday and Friday morning of this week. The newly organized mem- bership committee made plans for the fall membership drive. GIVES BON VOYAGE LUNCHEON On June 11 Mrs. Maurice R. Rosen of 1045 Elmwood avenue entertained at luncheon for a group of friends who are leaving this month for travel in Europe.
