Ray has hitherto played in other types of roles, but theater-goers will be pleasantly sur- prised at his enacting of the "pug" with the "single track mind" in this story of the boxing ring. James Gleason, Jobyna Ralston, Arthur Lake, Edythe Chapman, and Charles Sellon are in the supporting cast. The news that Richard Barthelmess is here in a new picture is always in- teresting news. This time it is espe- cially important, for Barthelmess ap- pears in the picturization of John Fox, Jr's famous novel of the Ken- tucky hills, "The Little Shepherd of Kingdom Come." The picture is to be shown at the Teatro del Lago this Sunday, July 1. There is a pretty romance and much action throughout the story which deals with the ad- ventures of a boy of 14 in the Ken- COMMUNITY HOUSE Tues. Molly O'Day plays the leading fem- inine role. Crooks and lovers, melodrama and comedy, thrills and laughter, all com- bine to make "Partners in Crime," booked for the Teatro del Lago next Monday and Tuesday, an entertain- ment masterpiece. It is the latest Wallace Beery and Raymond Hatton team comedy. Mary Brian and Jack Luden carry the love interest in a way that adds much to the story, while William Powell contributes a fine bit of villainy as an underworld gang leader. "The Vanishing Pioneer," with Jack Holt playing the leading role, is to be the Fourth of July attraction at the Teatro del Lago. The picture is taken from the story by Zane Grey, author of western novels. Sally Blane, an "up and coming" youngster, is both pretty and adequate for her role opposite Holt. One of the fea- tures of the picture is the appearance of young Tim Holt, son of the star. H. B. Warner and an all star cast including Anna QQ. Nilsson, Alice Joyce, Nils Aster, Carmel Myers, Mary Nolan, Norman Trevor, and Betsy Ann Hisle appear in "Sorrell and Son," coming to the Teatro del Lago next Thursday and Friday, July 5 and 6. This long-awaited screen version of the novel of father and son devotion has been enjoying a record success.
