MY, Lusk was in- vited to the premier's sum- mer home, the Villa Torlonia. Among other numbers he played a melody for the violin written by Vice-Presi- dent Charles G. Dawes. Signor Musso- lini greatly ad- mired the melody, according to the reports and requested Mr. Lusk to compliment the vice-president on the piece of music, saying that he did not know that the author of the Dawes peace plan was a composer of music. The premier also asked Lusk about the presidential candidates and their platforms. Before leaving, Signor Mussolini presented Mr, Lusk and his accompanist with autographed photo- graphs of himself.
