The event will be Medal play, 18 holes, handicap, with starting time from 1 to 2 o'clock. Announcement of the tournament by the committee of which Herbert B. Taylor is chairman, indicated that a gala time is in store for those who will participate in this event. To quote: "The enjoyable time everyone had last year at Sunset Ridge is a matter of history. Nobody has forgotten it, however, and the good word has gone 'round since then, for a number of entries have already come in from un- fortunates who were out of town or otherwise obliged to miss the party last August. "First come--first served!" Assisting Mr. Taylor on the tourna- ment committee are the following: Clive J. Taylor, Leon B. Allen, Arthur McIntosh, Karl Korrady, Charles Driver, Harry Weese, J. T. Triangular Net Event Interests North Shore Last Sunday, Skokie Country club played the Winnetka Tennis club in the triangular tournament that is be- ing held this summer. Skokie defeated Winnetka 4 to 1. Next Sunday, In- dian Hill club will play Winnetka. Following are the scores for the matches last Sunday: Conrad Daniels (S) defeated Ben Sherrill (W) 8-6, 3-6, 8-6. Bob Mec- Mahon (S) defeated Alan Ferry (W) 6-2, 6-2. Lucy Jane Hedberg (S) de- feated Doris Ferry (W) 6-0, 6-1. Eleanor Tietgen (W) defeated Sally Clover (S) 7-, 4-6, 6-3. BABY QUEEN RULES AT KENILWORTH CARNIVAL Barbara Brown of Three Sum- mers Wins Title of "Miss Kenilworth" A three and a half year old queen is reigning in Kenilworth this week. Her name is Barbara Brown, and she is the daughter of Kenneth C. Brown, of 515 Abbottsford road, Kenilworth. Barbara was chosen. "Miss Kenil- worth" last Sunday at the annual swimming meet and water carnival, sponsored by the Kenilworth club. A gold crown was placed on her head after she had won first place among forty contenders in the bathing beauty contest for the honor of "Miss Kenil- worth." None of the contestants was more than ten years old. Girl Wins Swim Meet Too In the swimming events another little girl, Peggy Ketcham, nine year old daughter of Craig B. Ketcham, 611 Abbottsford road, took the honors. She was high point winner of the meet, taking all of the events in her class. Peggy will be rewarded with a silver loving cup. The 25-yard free style for midgets (12 and 13 years old) was won by Louise Hanna. Betty Rich took second and Betty Byrne third. In the same class Betty Byrne won first place in the 20-yard breast stroke, Louise Hanna second, and Beverly Bouchard third. Dorothy Raggio was given first place for the best form in the hand stand under water event. John Dix won the 20-yard {ree style race for younger boys, while Stanley Knight placed first in the 25- yard free style for older boys. Robert Meter finished second and Harry Weese third. In the under water swim for older boys John Pearson came in first, Robert Meter second, and Don- ald Vail third. Between 300 and 350 persons attend- ed the annual water carnival and swim- ming meet. Mrs. Florence Case and her daugh- ter, Mrs. John Lind of Kenilworth, are spending the summer at their summer home in northern Michigan.
