James Simpson Buys Lake County Tract for Country Estate James Simpson, of Glencoe, presi- dent of Marshall Field & Company, has purchased 500 acres of land ad- joining the Mill Creek Hunt club in Newport township, Lake county. Mr. Simpson's purchase is said to have been acquired as a site for a country estate. The tract bought by Mr. Simpson adjoins the hunt club grounds on the north, fronting on Wadsworth road between Wadsworth and Millburn. It lies along the banks of Mill creek, a picturesque stream. John Griffith, of [Lake Forest, was broker in the trans- action. Similar purchases of land totaling some 900 acres have been made by Benjamin Behr and Austin Niblack, both of Lake Forest. The Behr and Niblack purchases were acquired for country estates also, but will be devel- oped to provide riding facilities for the Hunt club. Mr. Niblack, who was a leader in the organization of the Mill creek club, is noted for his interest in the hunt. He is reported to have purchased, along with Mr. Behr, the Mill Creek farms property of W. K. Young. This latter tract also adjoins the club grounds, and is considered ideal for purposes of the chase. It has a rolling terrain criss-crossed by small streams. Mrs. S. W.
