There are some fine snow scenes in the picture. June Marlowe, who reminds you a bit of Jangt Gaynor in this film, is a dear as the heroine. Mr. Bushman and Mr. Hamilton are good in their parts. The picture is a drama of the French Foreign Legion. The theme is the devotion of three young bro- thers, and their smiling, unflinching sacrifice for each other. Ronald Col- man as "Beau" gives one of the fin- est and most romantic performances of his brilliant career. Colman and Noah Beery as Sergeant Lejaune, "the cruelest beast and bravest soldier" in the Legion, dominate the action, al- though Neil Hamliton and Ralph Forbes are close rivals for the screen honors. John Barrymore has signed a con- tract to make talking pictures for Warner Brothers.
