Registration will be made on the foregoing date and fees will be re- ceived, in order that the regular class work may be taken up the following week. Instructors will be present to register those desiring to enter, and to arrange classes. Teachers in charge of the work will be Miss Livia Youngquist, Miss Millicent Anderson, and Miss Margaret Wilson, all of the Winnetka Public schools. Seymour Olmstead will assist on Tuesday evenings, giving information relative to the laws and ideals of the country. Those who contemplate entering these classes are urged to be present at the October 8 meeting. Further in- formation relative to the work, fees, etc, may be obtained by telephoning Community House, Winnetka 538. Gimbastian and Others Will Face Federal Jury Palmer Gimbastian. of Northfield, his wife, Mrs. [Italia Gimbastian, and George Corrado Guastaphalia of Hub- bard Woods, were bound over to the Federal grand jury, Tuesday, by United States Commissioner Edwin K. Walker. Similar charges against Mrs. George C. Guastaphalia were dis- missed. These are among the cases growing out of the regent arrests in Winnetka and vicinity on charges of violation of the prohibition law. The hearings in connection with similar charges against Frank Wool- ley and F. T. Richardson, are set for today. Seminars, Classes Now Being Held for Winnetka Teachers Classes in educational sociology, psy- chology, art, and dramatics for teach- ers of the Winnetka Public schools are now being conducted at the Skokie school and at the Community House. Four meetings of each class are held per month from 7 to 9 o'clock on des- ignated evenings. Twice each month seminars are conducted under the di- rection of Superintendent Carleton Washburne, and to these seminars original research work of the teachers is brought. The teacher classes are accredited by che Colorado State Teachers' college, and the credits of that institution are transferable. The regular classes, which began this week, will run for twenty-four weeks, while the seminars will be continued throughout the en- tire school year. The various classes are under the direction of the following persons: educational scoiology, S. R. Logan; psychology, Miss Frances Dummer; art, Miss Alta Gahan, and dramatic art, Mrs. Frances Murray. AID WOMEN'S COUNCIL The Winnetsa circles for the past years have been sending delegates each month to the Chicago Business Wom- an's council to wait on the lunch tables where the girls get a hot lunch for twenty-five cents.
