Mr. Van Ryder has just completed a one-man exhibition at the Montrose Galleries in New York and his work attracted the comment of all Eastern newspapers, magazines and art publications. 51 RUE DECAMPS, Van Ryder will appear in Phones Winnetka 1869--1870 1871--1872 Drama Club Offers Season's Initial Play Nov. 14-15 Wednesday and Thursday evenings, November 14 and 15, "The Classilis Engagement," by St. John Hankin, will be presented by the Community Drama club at Community House at 8:15 o'clock. A notable cast is ex- pected to combine to make this good entertainment. Those acting have been rehearsing nightly under the direction of Mrs. Sherman Goble. Able members of the club are taking charge of the settings and properties. Stage settings are being taken care of by Mrs. Charles Karnopp, assisted by Mrs. Ray Feagans. Frank Plowman will be in charge of the lighting. Mrs. Frank Plowman, assisted by Mrs. Chester Mathews and Mrs Coleman Ross, is taking care of the properties. Mrs. Lyman Weld, assisted by Mrs William Van Horne, Miss Mildred Julian, and John H. Jameson, is doing the make-up. Others working behind the scenes include Mrs. Vernon Welsh, costumes ; Everitt Fox, assisted by Dr. H. A. Orvis and Albert Bechtelheimer, stage crew. Mrs. Lawrence Norem has been in charge of the publicity. C. of C. to Hear Talk on "Retail Advertising' Members of the Winnetka Chamber of Commerce will listen to an address on "Retail Advertising," at the No- vember meeting, at Community House, next Monday evening. The subject, one in which every member of the Chamber is interested, will he handled by F. W. Bond of 899 Ash street. Mr. Bond is president of the F. W.
