On Mohawk Road in Ina'an Hill Estates, a home of English design de- veloped by. the architect, George Fred Keck, is being constructed by Bills 3ros., Inc., and is under way for Mr. Robt. W. Dierker of Winnetka, IIL The exterior will be of brick and tim- ber, slate roof, the interior enjoying an IL.-shaped design which has become so popular in its permission of sun- light and air. Different levels for dif- ferent rooms are being provided--a story and one-half recention hall 1s a further feature. Construction circles are commending the fact that Bills Bros., Inc., on the first day of build- ing, not only dug the full basement for this home, but also placed in all of the concrete footings. William C. Black, 2300 Lincolnwood drive, Evanston, is having William Hemphill begin the construction this week of a home, also of English de- sign, on his acre-and-a-half on Ramona Road. This home has the length of some 92-feet and will be one of the finer homes in the Estates sec- tion. Occupancy is planned for May 1, 1929, George F. Gonsalves is beginning two homes for private owners on Sen- eca road--one will be in stone and of Colonial design; the other will be of English design in brick--one home having eight rooms, and the other home having nine rooms. Directly across and to the north, immedately adjoining Indian Hill Ls- tates, Thomas Coy of Evanston is be- ginning construction of an $80,000 home for Mr. Chester Ericson of Gor- ell and company--another delightful Wins Honors William Lloyd, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Lloyd, of 455 Birch street, Win- neta, has been given special recogni- tion for his scholastic work at Antioch college, Yellow Springs, O. where he is a student. Lloyd is a New Trier graduate and entered Antioch in 1927. National and state income tax re- ceipts from Illinois corporations for year ending June, 1927, amounted to $120,000,000.
