Age: 71
Residence: Chicago for 11 years and Winnetka for 20.
Died: Feb 5 in her Northbrook home.
Actively involved in North Shore as well as Winnetka organizations for many years. Past treasurer of the Metropolitan YWCA as well as a director of that organization for nine years; a five year member of the North Shore Committee on Older Adults later renamed the North Shore Senior Center, and a former member of the North Shore Mental Health Assn.
Other organizations and community agencies in which she had either held office or membership include the Winnetka Historical Society, the National Conference of Christians and Jews, the League of Women Voters, and the Metropolitan Housing and Planning Council. She was made an honorary life member of the Board of the North Shore Chapter of the American Cancer Society on which she had served in various capacities for over 10 years including chairman of the 1956 North Shore Fund Drive covering 16 communities.
Survived by: husband, Richard L. Hirsch; one son, Richard D. of Bannockburn; one daughter, Lynn Roth of Chicago; and two grandchildren, Mark and Amy Hirsch.
Funeral: services held in the Children's Chapel of the Winnetka Congregational Church, the Rev. Donald Haggerty officiating, on Feb 7. Arrangements handled by the William H. Scott Funeral Home.
