- This is a large metal fork like implement with four long prong like extensions, that fold at a 90 degree angle from the main frame. They are very heavy and very sturdily made.
- Notes
- This device was used prior to the invention of hay elevators and baling equipment. This large fork like apparatus was used to help get the hay from the wagon to the lofts in the upper portions of a barn.
It was attached to a pulley that a horse would provide power for and take large quantities of hay up to the loft from below on the long forks.
