- An article from the North Shore Sentinel complete with photo of local author and historian Edith Cameron being presented with a plaque of recognition by Reeve Ted Linley on Mrs. Cameron`s 90th birthday.
Mrs. Cameron was a well known local author and was the granddaughter of Ben Case, a well known teacher from Thessalon.

- Mrs. Cameron researched and authored a book giving a factual account of the history of the area that was published on May 9, 1993 called Pioneers in a Land of Promise, copies of which can be found in all local libraries.
