- The Westwood Soldiers' Circle was formed in Oakville during the Second World War to communicate with and provide candies and cigarettes to Oakville servicemen overseas. The card from Corporal Roy Forbes acknowledges receipt of a package from the Westwood Soldiers' Circle sent to him at a German prisoner-of-war camp.
