Indians' Time Extended. Brantford, Jan. 4.â€"Owing to the fact that the Indians of Canada are settled over such a wide territory they have been given to the end of January to register their appeals for exemption under the Military Service Act. Maj. Gordon J. Smith of the local Indian office has just received the appeal forms, and his office will take the place of the local postoffice for the registration of these appeals by the Indians. All Indian men between the ages of 20 and 34, inclusive, who wish to claim exemption, will go there for the necessary forms that they must fill out in order to do so. The number who have even made enquiries regarding this matter are said to be almost negligible so far.
