- This is a 36-page black and white newsprint booklet about Blind River. It contains comprehensive information about town history, chamber of commerce, businesses, services and tourism. If also contains the advertisements of many local businesses.
- Notes
- The cover shows a portion of Woodward Avenue and an insert photo of a log building with a "Blind River Welcomes You" sign overhead. This building was the first tourism info booth which was located originally behind Woodward Avenue beside the river (behind the current RBC Royal Bank). It was later moved to the Town Park and then to the current location of the North Shore Travel Centre.
Ray Thompson was one individual that worked in the early Tourist Booth probably in a volunteer role. Ray Thompson worked for the Department of Highways and was married to Florence Thompson, a nurse for Dr. Frank Hammel. They lived on Lakeside Avenue. - Date de l'original
