Description

This is a black and white photo of Herb and Lottie Allen. Herb, seated to Lottie's right wears a white shirt, white tie, dark vest, blazer and pants.

Lottie's hair is worn in a Gibson-girl style. She is wearing a long-sleeved, high necked blouse with a long dark skirt with buttons down the center. She also wears a chain necklace that attaches to her belt and a wedding ring on her left hand.

Notes

Herb and Lottie were married June 9, 1909 and had seven children - Nora born 1910, William born 1912, Edward born 1915, Goldie born 1917, Ivy born 1919 (died 1921), John born 1921 (died 1990) and Dean born 1923. Lottie was the first of Herb Allen's three wives.

This photo and notes can be found in the Gardiner/Allen scrapbook 1700s to 1954.
