- Ration stamp booklet which belonged to nine year old Harvey Sutton of Puslinch, Ontario. Contains stamps used for purchasing foods that were deemed scarce such as meats, cheese, sugar, and coffee.

In wartime, goods are rationed because they are in short supply, or to prevent "short supply" caused by the selfish or unnecessary overbuying by some at the expense of others' essential needs.
The utmost conservation of all supplies is necessary. You should need to regard this ration book as a permit to buy ration goods if you NEED them - not otherwise. It does not entitle you to purchase rationed commodities for the use of someone else unless he resides in your household. - Date
