- Description
- This house was built and lived in by local contractor Robert Barbour, built between the years of 1865 and 1866. This cottage was constructed of quarry stone, and features a distinctive central dormer with double windows. The front door remains set in its original wooden surround. A vertical course of stone is placed above the windows. This house is a historically designated structure.
Barbour was known for building many structures throughout St. Marys, including the Tracy House, now the St. Marys Museum, the downtown block located south of the Opera House for Theodore Hutton, the St. Marys North Ward Collegiate building, and several other houses in town.
Hard copies of this image can be accessed at the St. Marys Museum & Archives.
