Description
A photo taken by local photographer Milton Reesor featuring Grand Trunk Railway baggage man Robert "Bob" Blundell operating a velocipede. The railway velocipede, also known as a "jigger", was used by railroad workers such as station agents and track foremen for trips between local stations.

Velocipedes were powered manually by pushing and pulling the handlebars. On this particular style, there was no space for the carrying of freight or packages. As a result, many rail lines preferred the use of the four-wheeled flatcar style with pump action propulsion as opposed to the type seen here.

The limestone engine house, once located at the Junction Station, is visible in the background. The engine house accommodated six steam engines and had a turntable in the centre. A baggage cart can also be seen to the left of the photo.
