Description

This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. It gives a view of the entrance to Westover Park. This entrance was once located on Westover Avenue. Westover Park entrance is now off of Thomas Street, with access across from Westover Street. The photo was likely taken around the late 19th to 20th century. The postcard was sent in 1907. Note the grand gate and the stone steps leading up to the park. There is an image similar to this one available in colour.

Notes

Condition: Good- edges are slightly worn. Moderate wear in upper left corner. Dark black line can be seen in center of the image. To the far left side of the image is a white mark. On backside of the postcard there is a small crease and the postcard has been used.
