Description

This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. It shows the Thames Rivver running under the Victoria Bridge. On the right bank is the flour mill, Oddfellows Block, and Opera House. The building was built for the St. Marys chapter of the Imperial Order of Oddfellows in 1879-80. The Oddfellows occupied the third floor of the building, the second floor contained the stage for performances, and the first floor was rented out to businesses as storefronts.

Condition: Fair - Wear on edges and all four corners, heavy discolouration throughout.
