Description

This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. It depicts the Rectory of the St. James Anglican Church, which can be seen rising above the trees in the background. Built in 1890, it quickly became a valuable asset to the parish, hosting groups, meetings, and events prior to the construction of the Parish Hall in 1907. In the house there are nine rooms a bathroom, buttery, closets, and a fine large hall. It currently serves as offices for a local accounting firm.

This postcard is used and dated July 24, 1914.

Notes

Condition: Good - Some wear on edges, slight discolouration throughout.
