Description

This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. It is a view of the interior of the Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, predominantly the sanctuary, with the altar and communion rail visible. Large wooden trusses support the roof of the church, and at this period in time, the walls and ceilings are plastered with rough stucco. Built in 1892, the church dominates the skyline atop the hill in the North Ward, and its architectural style and setting have made it a landmark in St. Marys.

Condition: Good - Slight wear on all four corners, some wear on edges.
