- Description
- This photo shows a view looking west from the dam on the Thames River on a very icy winter day. This dam, which is the same as our present dam, was constructed from stone and concrete in a six-week period in 1908 by the George Carter Company. The dam created a mill pond so large it created a small lake, which is now called Rice Lake.
