Description
This is a photograph of what appears to be an advertisement for Chalmers Hardware, Stoves, and Tinware in St. Marys Ontario. The photograph shows a young boy wearing a baker's outfit and holding two loafs of bread. The inscription "JAS. CHALMERS HARDWARE, STOVES, AND TINWARE, ST. MARYS, ONT." is stamped on the image. In the top corners are text and a logo which are partially cut off.

Chalmers Hardware Store was located at 91 Queen Street East on the northwest corner of Queen and Water Streets. The building currently houses MacPherson Arts and Crafts (July 2018).
Notes
Condition: photograph is in good condition, but appears to be a photograph of another original photograph. As a result, some of the edges of the picture are cut off. The location and condition of the original photograph are unknown.
