Description
This is a photograph of the stores on the north side of Queen Street on the block between Wellington and Church Street. The photograph was taken around the late 1970s, but the exact date is unknown.

Store names visible in the the photo include, from left to right: JB Tudor, Ray Bennett Men's Wear, McIntyre Drugs.

Although they had different names and different owners, JB Tudor and Ray Bennett Men's Wear were closely related. From 1905 to the 1950s, both halves of the building in which they are located was home to Lofft's Dry Goods. In 1954, the ladies' wear section was sold to J.B. Tudor, and in 1958, the men's wear section was sold to Ray Bennett.
