Description
This is a photograph of Queen Elizabeth being greeted by St. Marys residents at the Juntion Station.

On June 6, 1939, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth's train stopped at the Junction Station in St. Marys in order to take on water for the steam engine. Children from all of the local schools traveled to the Junction Station to greet the King and Queen, and although the children were given priority to see them, there was plenty of space for adults to stand and join in on the welcome too.
