- Description
- This photograph shows Queen Street looking East from the corner of Queen and Water streets. Although the image is not very clear, it gives an idea of what this area of downtown would have looked like at the time. The photograph is undated, but it must have been taken before 1916 when the Royal Bank of Canada moved into their current location on Queen Street. You can see that on the Royal Bank's current location, there is a sign where you can almost make out "stoves." At the time that this photo was taken, this building would have been home to Stoves Paints and Co. Hardware. In the distance, you can see Town Hall and the clock tower on Andrews Jeweller.
