- Description
- On July. 19 1920, this G.T.R. mail and passenger train travelling from London was wrecked one mile west of Kelly's Siding (Belton today). Although the locomotive and mail car turned over in the ditch and the baggage and one passenger coach left the track, the crew and passengers escaped injury. The steam crane on the right of the photo was brought from Hamilton. For more information, visit the museum to view the article "Engine Jumps Tracks; Passengers Unhurt" from The Argus (July.29, 1920).
