- This photo depicts the construction of the kiln at the St. Marys Cement Plant. The current kiln is 75m long and is fired by natural gas (for warm up only) and fluid coke (during regular operations). Clinker discharges from the cooler onto a conveyor, the larger pieces first passing through an impact crusher.
