- This image shows John Eedy sitting on a post with his thumb up, hitchhiking. John Wilson Eedy was the son of Lorne A. Eedy and Grace Wilson Eedy. His grandfather was John Wolfe Eedy, and John Wilson succeeded his grandfather and father as publisher at the St. Marys Journal Argus, just as his third son succeeded him. He married Dorothy May Strom and together they shared five children: John Wilson Jr., Robin Strom, Linda Mae, R. (Richard) Lorne, and Lars Edwin.
