Description
This is an image of a dirt road, with a pathway along the left side and a building to the right. There are a few people walking along the pathway and a few others standing by the building. There is a lot of greenery in this park, including gardens and trees.

This image is thought to have been taken on Belle Isle in Detroit, with the building featured in it being the old casino. The Belle Isle Casino was one of the first structures built on Belle Isle after it became a park, and the Casino opened in 1887. Despite its name, it was not used as a gambling facility, but was instead used to host public events like meetings, dances, entertainment, etc. This building was demolished and replaced in 1908 as the wood structure was already deteriorating.

The Belle Isle is an almost 1000-acre island park with many different activities and attractions. It is located on an island in the Detroit River, just north of the Canada - United States border.

This photo belongs to the Reesor Collection, which is a group of photos taken by Milton W. Reesor, a local amateur photographer. He took many photos of friends, family, animals, outdoor activities, machinery, the railway, and more in and around St. Marys from 1898-1910.
