- Description
- This is an image featuring four young women sitting on the grass eating melon. The women are not looking at the camera in this image, but are holding rinds while the woman second from the right is also holding a spoon that appears to be filled with something she is dumping on the woman on the left's rind.
Reesor's sister, Ella Vida Reesor, is believed to be the woman second from the left, wearing the white shirtwaist and tie. The woman sitting to the far left with the lace collar is Emma Maria Fraleigh. The Fraleighs were a well known family in St. Marys. It is the Fraleigh home that the girls are sitting next to, which is now Kingsway Lodge Fairhill Residence.
Emma Maria Fraleigh appears to be dressed the same as she is in 0618ph, a portrait of her. These same four women are in reesor248 and reesor249.
This photo belongs to the Reesor Collection, which is a group of photos taken by Milton W. Reesor, a local amateur photographer. He took many photos of friends, family, animals, outdoor activities, machinery, the railway, and more in and around St. Marys from 1898-1910. - Sujet(s)
