- Description
- A black and white portrait of Don Fletcher from 1963. He looks directly at the camera and is wearing a dark suit, tie, and a white collared shirt. Fletcher played a role in the St. Marys quarry, being hired as one of its first lifeguards in 1946. He and his brother Doug (who ran the concession booth) would take turns sleeping in the booth at night during that first year (1949) to ensure nothing was stolen. Don Fletcher was also known as the St. Marys "Tennis King."
