- Description
- A portrait photograph of the Reverend William A. Wilson and Margaret Caven Wilson, possibly taken on the occasion of their wedding in Toronto in 1879. William Wilson was the first minister of the St. Marys Knox Presbyterian Church, serving from 1878 to 1884 when he and his family left for missionary work in India.
Maggie Wilson was the oldest daughter of the Reverend William Caven, a pioneer minister of Presbyterian congregations in St. Marys from 1852 to 1866. He later became principal of Knox College, Toronto. The Cavens had strong family connections in the Motherwell area.
