Description
The aftermath of the "cyclone" that hit St. Marys in 1933. A downed tree is the main focus of this photograph with the "Spark's Home" being in view (236 Jones Street East, also known as "Ercildoune").

Ercildoune was built as a wedding gift to George Carter's daughter Charlotte when she married Henry Lincoln Rice in 1880. The home is built in the Second Empire style, a very rare style of home in St. Marys or any other small town.

The Sparks family occupied this home from about 1905 until the 1950s.
