Description

Oversize photo of Agnes Knox Black (1864-1945), a famous elocutionist who had been born in St. Marys. Agnes and her family spent their summers in Ontario especially to visit with relatives and friends in St. Marys.

This photo is autographed to the late Lorne Eedy, editor and owner of the St. Marys Journal/St. Marys Journal Argus.

Agnes Knox Black is pictured here looking very elegant in a fur trimmed jacket while holding onto a chair. She almost has the look of being ready to speak prim and properly.

Notes

Condition: Fair. Ripped and torn all along the edges with bends as well. Handle carefully as it is fairly fragile.

Because of the size and detail of this photo, this photo was scanned in pieces and then put back together using a photo stitching program.

Inscriptions

This autographed picture of the late Agnes Knox Black, a member of the well-known Knox Family, and a famous elocutionist, was presented to the late Mr. Lorne Eedy.
