Description
Photo of 94 Peel Street South. This was one of four attractive cottage-style homes built in 1879 for William Garner (the other three were around the corner facing Elgin Street.

The house right on the corner of Peel and Elgin has been renovated and is very changed in appearance. The one that was closest to the United Church was demolished to make room for better parking at the church. The one that is second from the corner of Peel and Elgin survives and is still similar to its original appearance.

The double brackets on this house have been removed, but the exterior still looks fairly similar to the original.

In this photograph, there are three women standing outside the house - two just behind the fence, and one at the front door. See comments for tentative identification.

The steeple of the Methodist (United) Church can be seen in the background as can the chimney of one of the companion houses.
