An article is included in the Museum's file about this specific photograph:
"The 'Wild West Era' in St. Marys"
"This old-time photo taken around 1900-05 shows the team and hack owned by the late James McCardle and driven by the late Roland (Rolly) Blundell, of Ontario St., West Ward. The photo was taken in the rear of the Boat House Hotel on Water St. S., now the property of Ashton's Tire Service. The big stone building (since demolished) was the Hotel and frame structure on the right (still there) housed the kitchen, dining rooms and bar of the Hotel. Note the bell, buggy shed and woodpile in foreground.
Photo send to Journal-Argus by Mrs. Dess Hedrick of Windsor, a niece of the late Mr. Blundell and also of Miss Elizabeth Blundell of St. Marys."
