- Description
- Photo of a garage with a car out front (with a man posing next to it), with three other men leaning against the building. This building served as a garage from about 1912 to 1914, selling and servicing such makes of vehicles as the Russell, the Galt and the Brockville Atlas.
According to information under a print of this photo in the January 9, 1958 St. Marys Journal Argus (page 1), the car in front is an Atlas. The billboard on top of the building meanwhile shows a full-size Russell automobile.
The people in the photo (from left to right) are Oscar Schultz (who was the mechanic), Fred Sharp Jr., Albert Sheldon and Lorne Snoddy.
The entrance for the Livery can be seen to the right.
This garage was named "Sheldon and Standeaven". - Notes
