Description
Photo of the H.M.C.S. Stonetown, a vessel of the Royal Canadian Navy that served during World War II.

The ship was named after St. Marys using the nickname the "Stonetown".

After the war, the ship was used as a weather ship, and then eventually sold off as scrap metal.

Diced squares of the 8th Canadian Escort Group are visible on a band around her funnel. Likely taken around 1944.
