- A print of the Robert Nelles Manor in 1798. Nelles was a Lieutenant-colonel of the 4th Regiment of the Lincoln Militia by the end of the War. He was also known to have been a Justice of the Peace and performed many marriages during the war.
This home was also occupied by United States forces during the war. As a result, he made a war claim to the government for the many damages that occured during their encampment. His home was also the site of a celebratory ball that was held for the 4th Regiment of the Lincoln Militia as well as the residents of Grimsby following the war. - Date d'événement
