Hi

Family History question: re" Cruikshank's Documentary History of the Campaign on the Niagara Frontier.

Family stories says Elihu Jones(1751-1828) was in the Battle of Lundy'a Lane on the US side. I think he was a volunteer in Kitchum's reg. I think he was also in the French and Indian war and the American Revolution (Vol. in Connecticut. At the time of the Lundy Lane battle he was living in Huron twp, Wayne County, New York.

The family still has the musket and powder horn he carried in that Battle. As near as I can tell it was a gun he purchased after the American Revolution and before fallowing his two boys, Alanson and Luther to New York either in early 1814 but not before 1811. The powder horn is quite large and has a split in it were a ball hit it said to have been located over his heart, saving his life.

Can you take a peak and see if he in mentioned in Cruikshank's books.
