Reprint of "The Christian Confession of the Faith of the Harmless Christians, in the Netherlands Known by the Name of the Mennonists" Niagara [Ont.] : Amsterdam, printed. Re-printed and sold by Joseph Willcocks, 1811.

Willcocks is known as an office holder, printer, publisher, journalist, politician, and army officer. Coming to Upper Canada in 1800, Willcocks found patrons and peers within Upper Canada's elite circles. Willcocks came to Niagara and ran a newspaper in opposition to the government, the Upper Canada Guardian; or,Freeman’s Journal was published from 24 July 1807 to 9 June 1812 and its purpose was, “to disseminate the principles of political truth, check the progress of inordinate power, and keep alive the sacred flame of a just and rational liberty.”. He was elected to parliament and was deemed to be a loyalist leading up to the War of 1812. It was during the course of the War that Willcocks changed his opinions of how Upper Canada should be governed, and during the occupation of Niagara by American forces he led the Canadian Volunteers, a group of Upper Canadians in support of the US war effort. Born in 1773 in Palmerston (Republic of Ireland) he succumbed to wounds suffered at Fort Erie on 4 September 1814.
